RIP Gordon Ash, who was laid to rest today. Such a privilege to have met him and have the honour to record his childhood memories of WWII. The Bear Grylls of his day...a remarkably resourceful man with humour, love of life and energy. Our love and deepest condolences to Mary and their family.

His memories in the piece mirror most of the interviewees in the project. Thanks for sharing, Cyril. The Exhibition continues its tour, moving from The Museum of Cannock Chase Chase to Norton Cane Library on Monday 17th February
