Rubery Library

Rubery Library Rubery Library is part of the Worcestershire Libraries & Learning Service. Rubery Community Library first opened on 16 January 1964.

The library is situated at the top end of the high street, near the carpet shop. There is provision for disabled parking but parking is limited outside the library. Car parking facilities are within easy reach of the library. The library offers the following services:-

Are you looking to improve your health, make new friends, or just enjoy walking in the warm sunny days this summer? 🌞😎 Well Rubery Library has a new Health Walk group walking every Thursday morning at 10:00am for about 90minutes (including stops for refreshments along the route). 👣✨

All you have to do to join is meet the group inside the library if you're interested; no need to book, just come along! For more information about the group contact: Maddy Bennett on 07866907082.

Before 10am you will need your library card with libraries unlocked 🔓 to access the library, so pop in and ask one of the librarians for more details if you want to upgrade your membership.

The next Loose Women meet up has changed from June 6th, to this Saturday May 30th.

If you'd like to come along, come to the library between 6:00pm - 8:00pm, just make sure you have Libraries Unlocked!

If you have any questions, pop us an email on: [email protected] or come have a chat with us in the library.

Don't forget, the new Loose Women 💃✨ group is meeting tomorrow at the library between 6:00pm - 8:00pm. If you want to come along you need to be over 18 and have libraries unlocked 🔓

To sign up for Libraries Unlocked to be able to join in, come along in person during our opening times (today we're open 10:00am - 2:00pm) for a health and safety induction and you'll be able to access any Worcestershire library between 8:00am - 8:00pm every day except Sundays.

No Printer? No Problem, ‘Print Your Way’!

Need to print something but don’t have a printer? Worcestershire County Council’s Libraries have launched Print Your Way, a new service that lets library members print directly from their own phone, laptop, or tablet and collect their documents from any Worcestershire library within 24 hours.

Print Your Way is available to anyone with full library membership. If you’re not yet a library member or currently have digital-only membership, you can easily sign up or upgrade by visiting your local library and speaking to a member of staff.

Don't forget we have 'Tea and T'internet' running every Tuesday until July, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the library, you can come along to learn the basics (or for the tea and cake!) 🍰🧁 The next session is today so don't miss out!

You need to book onto the session by calling Kev on 📱07340 701551, and have libraries unlocked 🔓on your library card to access the library. If you don't have libraries unlocked, just pop in during our regular opening hours to see the friendly librarians who can give you a quick induction and upgrade your membership; and then you can book onto next week's session!

It's May half-term this week, as well as the last week of May! 🌷✨

Pop into your local library where we will be running a Winnie the Pooh interactive treasure hunt throughout the week! Find all the posters, fill out your worksheet, and show a librarian to win a teeny tiny prize.

We have all our children's activities running as normal this week through half-term, with our Bounce and Rhyme 👶🎶 for 0-2 year olds today at 10:30am, and Story Train 🚂📖 this Thursday at 10:30am for 2-5 year olds.

We are closed Bank Monday 25th May.There will also be no libraries unlocked that day.
