Royston Library The local library for Royston Donate to Hertfordshire Libraries

It’s now easy to donate online to the library service by visiting our website.

We are often offered donations of money by users who wish to show their appreciation for the service. Those who visit the library are able to do this in person. Now you can also support the library service by donating online. You don't have to donate. Hertfordshire Libraries are a universal and free service to the community. Your decision to donate is an entirely voluntary one. We ask that you donate only as much as you feel comfortable with. You may want to consider either a one-off payment or more frequently.

100% of each donation goes directly to Hertfordshire Libraries and is used to maintain and enhance our services. https://www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/librarydonations

We had a great Lego Club session on Saturday 10th October where the theme was ‘Mash-ups’! The children did a lucky dip to see what Mash-up theme they would do. They made some very creative displays from themes such as ‘Spaceman in a theme park’, ‘Medieval knight in a water world’ and ‘Medieval Castle in a future city’. Great fun was had by all!
Come along to our next Lego Club on Friday 30th October between 10.30am to 11.30am. It has a wonderfully spooky Halloween theme.

Please note that due to limited numbers, we recommend that you book in advance.

Friday 8th November at 10.00am. Come along and get your new slippers and join us for a cup of tea and a chat!

Old slippers often cause trips and falls, which can lead to unnecessary stays in hospital and loss of independence.
At our Slipper Swaps, residents who are older, have mobility difficulties or a disability, can throw away their worn-out slippers and swap them for a brand-new free pair of anti-slip ones - and find out more about keeping themselves safe and well by talking to an occupational therapist or one of our many other community partners.
No need to book. Just come along between 10am and 1pm.
Library staff will also be on hand to help, and introduce you to our services for older people such as social groups; activities; the Home Library Service; information, and the Carer’s Library Card.
