First night back after the Easter break and 423 (Speyside) Detached Flight are starting the new term by celebrating successes!!!! Congratulations to Cadet Luke Reid for gaining his blue aviation badge and his 1st class classification badge. Also Corporal Nairn for completing her Bronze marching badge....a first for the DF. Up, up and away for 2 cadets of 423 (Speyside) during the Easter Holidays. It was their first Air Experience Flight through cadets and their smiles says it all.

A fab night of having the Wing Warrant Officer and his team putting the cadets and staff through drill practise. Also a night of celebrating achievements. Well done to Cadet Reid for achieving his blue marching badge and gaining his pre Duke of Edinburgh badge. Also Cpl Nairn for gaining her Bronze first aid badge as well as receiving her certificate for attending the SNCO course, presented to her by the Wing Warrant Officer

A Royal tribute to 85 years of "Venture Adventure"! ✉️👑

We are immensely honoured to share this special message from our Royal Honorary Air Commandant, HRH The Princess of Wales, marking the 85th Anniversary of the Air Training Corps.

In her letter, Her Royal Highness recognises the tireless dedication of our adult volunteers and permanent staff since the Corps' formation in 1941. This Royal commendation is a testament to the spirit and standards upheld by every unit across the UK and overseas.

Your local Royal Air Force Air Cadets are doing their yearly fundraiser of Christmas card delivery service for the community of Rothes and Aberlour. The boxes are out in local businesses in both villages. Please note that due to managing the logistics of this fundraiser the boxes will be collected on the 8th December. Delivery of cards will take place in Rothes on Monday evening 1st and 8th. Aberlour will be Saturday the 13th Dec. Please support us.

What a weekend for 4 cadets from 423 (Speyside) Detached Flight. They certainly experienced the "Air" of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. Full brief and training on arrival on Saturday evening and then perfect Gliding weather on Sunday and all full of smiles.

At 423 (Speyside) Detached Flight, we are celebrating many achievements.
Cdt Morrison and Cdt Pinto gained their Blue First Aid. Cdt Lawson and Cdt Cameron gained their Blue Radio. Cdt Reid gained his silver iDEA award as well as silver cyber badge and lets not forget the staff. Flt Lt Birkett was presented by Wing Commander Smith her Cadet service medal with clasp for service as well as the Kings Coronation Medal in company of the cadets of the DF. Proud moment for one and all.

Cadets of 423 (Speyside) Detached Flight have had a busy weekend.
Collecting for poppy scotland alongside the Royal British Legion Dufftown on Saturday whilst also Fundraising at our Coffee Morning in Rothes where we raised over £300 so thank you to the Speyside community for supporting, then Remembrance parade today in Rothes.
