Our Roadside Cleansing Team has been working on Barrow Hill between Wentworth and Harley🍂

The team removed overhanging shrubs and cleared the footpath to help keep the route clear.

We can't thank residents and volunteers enough for supporting our work in looking after their local area😊

You can play your own part by ensuring that your rubbish goes in the right bin🚮

To help ensure everyone who can vote can take part in future elections, we're contacting residents this autumn to check that the electoral register information we hold for their address is correct🗳️

If you have received a letter addressed to ‘The Resident(s)’ from our Electoral Services, please read it carefully and respond by 13 September, even if there have been no changes to your household✉️

Find out more➡️ www.rotherham.gov.uk/elections

Remember, a response is required from every household that has received a letter.

We are keeping more money in our local economy to create more opportunities for residents, local businesses, and communities.

The Annual Social Value Report shows our local spending has risen by £77.3 million, from £44.8 million in 2019/20 to £122.1 million in 2024/25.

With thanks to our social value commitments, we have secured £41.6 million through Council contracts.

Since we introduced our Social Value Policy in 2019, we have helped to:
💼 Secure 454 full-time jobs for local people.
👷 Deliver 1,169 weeks’ worth of apprenticeships.
📝 Provided 4,985 hours of personalised career mentoring and employment support.
🏫 Provided 728 staff hours supporting local schools and colleges.

The report will be considered by Cabinet on Monday 14 September.
