🎉 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO NOZI! ✨

We want to congratulate Nozibusiso Ndlovu, from Goldthorpe, who yesterday walked away with the title of Ms Personality 2026 in the Ms Africa UK competition – The UK’s Leading African Beauty Pageant! 🌍👑

The competition is highly competitive and seeks to promote, inspire and nurture leadership qualities in girls across the UK. Alongside its focus on charitable giving, the pageant also celebrates and promotes African culture, tourism and lifestyle to the wider world.

We are incredibly proud to see Nozi representing our community on such a fantastic platform and being recognised for her personality, character and spirit. ❤️

🔊New fund open! 🔊

The Bloomberg Philanthropies Youth Climate Action Fund is supporting young people aged 15 to 24 to lead climate and environment-focused projects across South Yorkshire.

💷 Grants of between £700 and £4,500 are available for projects focusing on:

🌳Nature and Green Spaces
🌱Green Skills and Careers
💧Water and Climate Resilience

It's funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies and delivered by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA), in partnership with SYCF.

Young people can apply for funding through schools, colleges, youth groups, or community organisations.

Projects must be designed and led by young people aged 15 to 24, with the supporting organisation helping to develop ideas and deliver activities.

🗓 Applications close at 5pm, Friday 23rd October 2026.

We’re delighted to be hosting our very first Macmillan Coffee Morning, and we’d love for you to join us.

Every bun, cake and sweet treat purchased will help support Macmillan Cancer Support, with all proceeds going directly to the charity to help people living with cancer and their families.

Whether you're an experienced crafter or a complete beginner, everyone is welcome.

Bring along your current project, whether it's knitting, crochet, macramé, cross stitch, embroidery or any other craft, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of chat, creativity and sharing ideas.
