Building community one breakfast at a time at Rotherham Hostel on Queen Street 🍳🥓
Every week, the team hosts a Breakfast Club and house meeting for residents, and it's become one of the most valued parts of the service.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved - frying the eggs, buttering the bread, or getting the plates ready. It's about so much more than just the food - it's a chance for residents to connect, socialise, and build confidence around people they may not know well yet.
Over breakfast, staff open up the conversation, asking residents for their ideas about the house, activities, or ways the team can better support them. Every voice matters and everyone is given the space to contribute.
These everyday moments are a vital stepping stone as residents prepare for independent living, and it's exactly this kind of consistent, small interaction that helps Target Housing go beyond accommodation - empowering individuals to find their voice.
