Thanks to you and all of your support we had a successful Rags 2 Riches 4 Schools Spring 2026 collection!

We collected a fantastic amount 133.5 kg and raised a brilliant £33.38 🎉

♟️Chess & Draughts Club♟️

Our Years 4, 5 and 6 pupils have been busy learning the rules of chess this term in our Chess and Draughts Club.

They've been developing their strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and learning how to plan their next moves.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher with proven experiences of outstanding classroom practice, for a fixed term maternity cover.

What skills and experience we're looking for:

• An enthusiastic, inspirational practitioner with knowledge & experience of teaching across EYFS and Year 1 curriculums

• High expectations of academic achievement and behaviour

• Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning environments for young children

• Strong understanding of early literacy, including phonics and numeracy development

• Ability to work within a team and contribute to the wider life of the school

Last week we had the visit from Usk Astronomical Society.

To consolidate Maple Class' topic; the pupils were given the amazing opportunity to explore the night sky and learn about the different planets in our solar system.

World Book Day 📖

Our pupils have blown us away with their incredible Book in a Box creations! Each model captured the magic of their favourite stories with so much imagination, detail, and pride. It was wonderful to see their creativity shine and to celebrate the amazing effort they put into bringing their books to life.

We're collecting clean good quality, dry reusable clothing to raise funds for school! ♻️

⭐️COLLECTION DATE THURSDAY 5TH MARCH⭐️

1️⃣ Collection bags (if we receive them) will be given out via the children, but any plastic bag is suitable.

2️⃣ Have yourself a good post-Christmas clearout now and over the February half term.

3️⃣Return bags to school the morning of the 5th March at drop off time by 9am as they'll be here to collect early. Please drop off in reception.
