The Spider orchids are in bloom in the zoo and looking glorious! We have a debate on the scent though, bit like marmite, some like some hate. Let us know what you think after your visit!

One of our banana trees has decided to show us how happy it is by producing a large banana spike! We will have to see how big it gets over the next couple of weeks!

The Pupa are in, all ready to head into a lovely warm incubator! 160 in total which will emerge over the next 2 weeks!

The tiny eggs of the Owl Butterfly (Caligo memnon) with a caterpillar that has just hatched out. They eat their eggshell for their first bit of energy before moving onto the rest of the leaf.

Lot's of Eggfly Butterflies in the Zoo this weekend! This pair are mating and the female will lay up to 200 tiny pearlescent green eggs on the leaves in the zoo!

You can see butterflies hatching in our incubators. They do emerge all day, although the best time to catch them is in the morning!
