This lady is amazing and so is the work she does locally.
Please do consider supporting this, there's a gap being filled her where otherwise would not be supported or disregarded but massive respect to Milly Boylan for standing up and saying we do care and you do have a voice.
What's it all about read on below.
Hi, my name is Milly ;)
I was employed last year as a community link worker, helping to support people farthest away from employment to gain the skills needed to enable them to get work , unfortunately what I found was that some people in my community were really struggling, with housing issues, some being street sleepers * ( homeless) or sofa surfing with no home , people unable to access basic support to get benefits they need, people struggling with addiction, trauma, loneliness and without GPs or any form of support...
Warm Welcome is a non judgmental space that is used by people from all walks of life ; from 2-84 years people meet to offer friendship support and a sense of belonging in a warm , safe environment...with a hot meal and teas or coffees, a pool table and friendly faces.
I have been desperately tried to get funding, but this takes time ...
I take no wages myself and support various people for anything from 29 to 40 hours a week ...however I can't pay for the rental of the venue ( £60 per week) ....£240 would pay for a month's rent for me to have the facilities to support people, last week 17 people were supported in WARM WELCOME....it really is vital to the people that access it!
I know things are difficult for everyone at present with the rise in bills ...but I genuinely would be grateful for ever pound donated! ....many thanks ...
Love Milly
