National Public Confidence in Policing Survey
Residents are invited to participate in a new research study exploring people’s views and experiences of crime, anti-social behaviour and policing in the UK.
The research aims to improve:
• understanding of what shapes public confidence in policing,
• how confidence changes over time, and
• the impact of neighbourhood policing on local communities.
On average, it takes 10 minutes to complete, and it is entirely multiple-choice. No questions are mandatory, so you can skip any you would rather not answer. If you get distracted, you can save your progress as you go and come back whenever you wish.

Please click on the following link to complete the survey: https://survey.neighbourhoodalert.co.uk/Survey/HASH/77B1ACFD00CB4398587A3307828529FD

The survey is run by Neighbourhood Alerts, and you can find more information about it here: https://npcsurvey.neighbourhoodalert.co.uk/en/faqsart?

Bush Road Project Update

As reported at the end of last year, Cuxton Parish Council have been actively pushing for safety improvements on Bush Road. See https://cuxtonparish.gov.uk/notices/possible-accessibility-improvements-for-bush-road/

The Bush Road project, as it has been referred to, has just entered the Safety Audit phase and, all being well with this, it will then progress to the public consultation phase, as originally agreed. This phase will give all residents, and the Parish Council, the opportunity to review and comment on proposals.

This project is something Cuxton Parish Council have been lobbying hard for for many years and have been actively chasing up on bi-weekly. We will continue to do so in spite of delays.

Many thanks.

⚽️Just a reminder about footballs in the tennis courts⚽️
These are collected every weekday morning and securely stored in the street cleaning store, in the Rec.
You can speak to a member of the street cleaning team or the clerk, to discuss collection.
Additionally, for the summer holidays, we are offering an evening collection time from 6.30-7pm on Monday nights to collect any balls.
Please go to the street cleaning store (garage) by the car park area to collect.
Many thanks

👮Great to meet our new beat Officer PC George today. 👮

PC George called into the Parish office and heard the issues raised previously by our residents, and those discussed by Cllr Wilson at the monthly members police surgery she attends.

PC George has asked to attend our Parish Council meetings where his working schedule allows.

Local Government Reorganisation

Yesterday, it was announced that the government had chosen option 4b of the options presented for consideration.

For most of Medway the options looked very similar, but in two of the original options proposed Cuxton and Halling would have been separated from the rest of Medway, and re-grouped into West Kent.

Option 4b however keeps Medway's boundaries in tact and groups Medway with Gravesham and Dartford.

So, from 2028, Cuxton, along with the rest of Medway, Gravesham and Dartford, will be covered by the North Kent Unitary authority.
