Rochdale Children’s Moorland Home was founded in 1894, and ever since, has been providing much needed holidays to deserving children from the Rochdale and Rossendale boroughs. Rochdale children’s moorland home is a registered charity, that receives no government funding, so relies solely on donations and fundraisers. With annual running costs now exceeding £60,000 we need your help to spread the word about the home.

Mission completed!
Wes, James and Mischa have now completed their pennine way walk. 268 miles over 19 days 👏
The donation link will stay live for another week or so if you want to make a celebratory donation for all their hard work.
We are so grateful for all their dedication and to every single person who has made a donation. We received £0 in government funding so every penny helps us to make a difference to local children.

Malham to cowling today for Wez, James and Misha
They are approaching two weeks now of walking the Pennine way in some horrific weather conditions.
Please can we show them as much support as possible as they try to raise funds for Rochdale Childrens Moorland Home on this grueling walk, the views are amazing but it is the difference they can make to the children who visit us that is really driving them to keep going

Today Wesley Dowd has had to say goodbye to his trusty sidekick Finley.
Finley has been at Wes’ side throughout numerous fundraising walks for Rochdale Childrens Moorland Home raising thousands of pounds for our charity and will be sadly missed and always remembered for being the best boy 🐶

Day 6.
They’ve made it to alston!
Wez, James and Micha have been drenched with the rain today, but its been a good stretch along the steam train tracks and the river. They’ve managed to get into a hostel for tonight and will be wild camping tomorrow on the way from alston to dufton.
And they’ve hit the £500 mark in donations 🥳 still a way off the target, please share and donate if you can in recognition of all their hard work!
