Masham Fire Station - North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Masham Fire Station provide Fire and Rescue cover for our community and beyond. It is mainly crewed by retained Firefighters. New recruits welcome.

We train every Wednesday from 1900-2100.

You can still follow us on the services new district page which is currently been created. 🔥 🚒 Meet Jack, age 38 (he thinks!). Volunteer On-Call Crew Manager at Goathland.

Jack works as a maintenance technician and also behind the bar at The Inn on the Moor hotel. Outside of work, he enjoys walking the dog, playing darts, and catching up with friends over a good beer! Alongside everyday life, he’s also a Crew Manager for our Goathland volunteer on-call crew, supporting the community he grew up in.

💬 “Before I joined, I was worried I’d have no idea how to do anything and that I’d just be a hindrance to the rest of the crew.”

💬 “What surprised me was how the training is set up so you quickly learn the basics and can start being useful. You’re shown what to do step by step, and you’re supported the whole way.”

💬 “The best part for me is the crew and the friendships I’ve gained because of it. There’s also a real sense of pride knowing I’m helping the community I grew up in.”

💬 “Give it a go. You’ll be surprised how rewarding it is, and the skills you gain help in everyday life too.”

We were called to a well developed flat fire in Ripon. The fire was extinguished using 4 Breathing Apparatus 1 jet and one Hosereel Jet. 1 person was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.
