Can’t believe we’re already looking at our bookings for December, we have the following
Wreath making 29th November,
Haddon Hall Mercatum Market on the 4th December.
Santos at Higham for our Christmas meal on the 9th…..a very good menu we thought this year.
Morley Hayes on the 18th December for one of their Singalong Lunches…..our 3rd year.

In the meantime we have the Second Revolution Quilters with their annual exhibition at Pentrich Village Hall on Saturday 27th September from 10-4pm where you have the opportunity to see a Compass Quilt made by our very talented member Pat, who exhibited it at the Festival of Quilts at the NEC.

Our winning entry at Ashover Show this week with 93 points, 2nd Oakwood WI with 921/2 and 3rd Swanwick WI, it’s always interesting to read the judges comment sheets. Well done to everyone who took part, it was a very hot day and the flowers were soon wilting.
Only 5 WIs entered the Wye Valley trophy, there are 142 WIs in Derbyshire…….where were you?
A huge “Thank you” to all the judges and most of all to the hard working Trustees and all our WI volunteers serving refreshments, you must have sweated buckets behind your teapots.
You’ll have to work out which comment sheet fits with the different entries I’m afraid…..the workings of Facebook.🙄🤷‍♀️
