Healthy skin plays an important role in comfort, wellbeing, and independence.

Pressure sores can develop when someone spends long periods in the same position, particularly if they have reduced mobility. Early signs may include persistent redness, skin discoloration, swelling, tenderness, or areas that feel warmer than the surrounding skin.

💡 Small actions can make a big difference:
✔ Encouraging regular movement where appropriate
✔ Supporting good hydration and nutrition
✔ Using pressure-relieving equipment as recommended
✔ Checking skin regularly for changes
✔ Reporting concerns promptly

🚨 Red Flag Alert:
If redness doesn't fade, skin becomes broken, or swelling develops, it's important to seek advice and report concerns as soon as possible.
