Introducing new QUOC rider, Lidia Cusack.

Self-described as meticulous, curious and motivated, she was raised chasing her dad through local race circuits and scrapping with her older brother on every ride home — turning a childhood spent watching from the barriers into a career behind them, culminating in a Cyclocross World Cup victory in Dublin. Off the bike she’s drawn to anything with sky overhead and ground moving beneath her — hiking, snowboarding, sailing. Now targeting UCI wins this season, she measures progress not in power numbers but in the simplest question: am I better than yesterday?

This year, we joined 1% for the Planet — the movement co-founded by Patagonia’s Yvon Chouinard, dedicating 1% of our annual revenue to the organisations on the front lines.

For us, giving back isn’t something we do for show; it’s central to who we are. That commitment splits two ways: opening cycling up to people with less access, and protecting the places we’re lucky enough to ride.

Now based in Annecy, she’s made that refusal a creative practice — performing live from the saddle, moving through cities with her audience in tow. We sat down with her to talk about melody on the road, the noise in her head, and the moment she decided to merge her two worlds.

Unbound, you gave us everything. Sun, rain, wind, mud, storms and some epic racing.

A global community rolls into Emporia and turns a small town into the world biggest gravel event. The locals have built something special that keeps everyone coming back, and you can bet we’ll be back again next year.
