The dilemma
Before Kings there was no 'mine'
Water beds and purified springs
Ran like rivulets through the pristine lands of the gods
Make way for us they exclaimed
We have come to claim.it for our own
Protect it in the name of our children
That they may have a home to return to
But you are deluded I said
Before Kings and beyond the realms of time and space
There is another land quite free and hearty
You look for nature outside yourself
But all you seek is within and without
In realms you cannot see
Places.to which you cannot belong
Monstors will come and ruin those lands
You are well to protect what you can
But I will not join you
I am of the land of the free
And it exists here within me
In that space before the darkness came
And snatched away your lands of glory and hope
Pray well o brothers and sisters
For the gods will hear you upon their mountain tops
Bought and sold for a profit and a loss
Prized gold instead of dusty walks among mangroves and pine needles depending on their land
Be quiet and still
And you shall find that land that you seek
Perched atop a wind blown place
Only known to the knowers and the known
Be at peace now small one
All you seek is right here before your very eyes
If only you knew how to look and see me, as you did when I was you and you were me
Dust beyond dust returned to mountain stream
And renewed into life just as you have known it before time and space were one ....
We have been given the incredibly rare opportunity to purchase our very first mountain. Situated in a breathtaking coastal setting in the West Highlands, Ben Shieldaig is made up of almost 4,000 acres of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery.
There is a significant remnant of ancient Caledonian pinewood here, as well as an area classed as temperate rainforest. As the west coast of Scotland is home to some of the best examples of rainforest in the North East Atlantic, we cannot miss the chance to purchase a site with such an impressive repertoire.
