North Wales Women's Centre

North Wales Women's Centre We're a safe place for women to access support, social activities, and volunteering opportunities.

Established in 2001, the Centre operates from West Rhyl in the centre of the town (the highest ranked ward on the Index of Deprivation in Wales) and has helped over 1500 women improve their health, confidence, and livelihoods. The Centre provides dedicated services in close partnership with agencies from the statutory and voluntary sectors, and is supported by more than 60 volunteers. At the Centr

e, women develop their own community where they are not labelled or judged, and are supported to plan and train for happier futures. The Centre supports local women to cultivate and advance their social and economic development, irrespective of race, disability, age, or sexual orientation, and combats the victimisation and objectification of women which persists in the UK.

Thank you for visiting, Gill German MP and for highlighting the vital work that the North Wales Women's Centre does. You're always welcome to drop by 🩷💜

I was incredibly proud to take the UK Government’s Welsh Affairs Select Committee to Rhyl recently to visit the fantastic North Wales Women's Centre

Welcomed by CEO Abby Lewis, my fellow committee members and I were impressed by the services and activities based there and the brilliant staff and volunteers.

It was also good to hear about support for women who run into difficulties in life as part of our inquiry into women in the justice system.

Thank you to Abby and team for the warm welcome and support and your invaluable input to the work of the committee.

Thank you to ALL of our Volunteers for everything that do at the Centre. We appreciate each and every one of you. You are ALL vital to the running of the North Wales Women's Centre. It's the little things that sometimes make the biggest difference - a smile, a listening ear, a shared laugh, a warm cup of tea, a friendly chat. You impact Women's lives in a positive way and you should be very proud of yourselves.
