As 2025 draws to an end, we prepare for the New Year ahead, this has been another busy operational year for the team.
The team have attended over 100 incident tasking’s, to date, these tasking’s were varied and some challenging for the team but also rewarding in our service to the communities we work.
As well as responding to callouts, the team have undertaken countless hours of training, incident prevention patrols and have also attended numerous community engagement events and school visits.
The team welcomed a number of new Coastguard Rescue Officers and at the same time said goodbye to a number of volunteers including our Station Officer, Neil retired after volunteering 25+ years for HMCG.
As the bells draw ever closer the team would like to thank the continued support of our families and friends in what we do, the great working partnership with the RNLI Helensburgh crew and our colleagues from Dunoon, KAMES & Greenock Coastguard Rescue Teams, Rescue 199 Crew and Belfast Coastguard who do an amazing job in supporting, coordinating & looking after the coastguard rescue teams.
Also we’d like to thank the amazing partnership working with the other emergency services of Police Scotland Argyll & West Dunbartonshire, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service & Scottish Ambulance Service, thank you for your assistance. 🚓 🚒 🚑 A shout out to Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, Water Safety Scotland for supporting and working by with us to promote water safety. Finally a big thank you to you our followers and supporters on social media.
As the celebrations commence and we plan to see a new year in, the team will remain on call ready to respond. Remember, if you see anyone in difficulty by the coast or at sea, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard. 🚨🆘
Best wishes for 2026
