Thankfully these signs are clear! South Street, from the clock to Caeherbert lane, will close overnight from 6pm on 17th September - I understand it is for Dwr Cymru repairs.

We do not have a hospital in Rhayader, so are reliant on hospital services provided elsewhere, and we have to travel to access it. It is important that Rhayader residents are not forgotten in the discussions about health care.
I will be attending both the PTHB briefing to County Councillors And this public meeting about Llandrindod Hospital. I encourage you to attend too - lets ensure our voice is heard.

We invite residents from Llandrindod and the surrounding area to come to this meeting at the Pavilion next Thursday evening where we'll tell you what we can as your County Councillors following our briefing from Powys Teaching Health Board earlier that afternoon. David Chadwick MP will be joining us.

IRRESPONSIBLE PARKING:
I have received the following information from Powys highways enforcement officers.

Unfortunately, where there are no parking restrictions (yellow lines etc) Local Authority Enforcement Officers (CEOs) are unable to take any action.

When parking was decriminalised in Powys in 2011, the police retained the powers to enforce “Obstruction” and “Dangerous Parking” as these are both judgement calls that only the police can make. So for vehicles parking too close to junctions, pavement parking etc the LA do not have the powers to enforce.

Dyfed Powys Police are aware of fraudulent letters being sent to residents claiming to be from legitimate organisations.
We are often cautious of phone calls, text messages and e-mails which may claim to be legitimate organisations. This caution should also be applied to letters.

Letters have impersonated various banks, Financial Conduct Authority, Local Authorities and more! These letters will often encourage you to contact a telephone number which is listed within the letter.

Remember:
❗It will look like a genuine letter
❗It may read like a genuine letter
👀Look out for an ‘urgency’ within the contents such as unexpected repayment requests
❌NEVER contact the telephone number, visit the website, or scan the QR code on the letter
✅ALWAYS contact the organisation directly to confirm legitimacy of any such request

The mysterious South Street road closure signs have disappeard.
I failed to find out from PCC or trunk road what they were for 🤷‍♀️
But the following notification says the road WILL be shut overnight 17 - 18 th September.
