A new defibrillator has been purchased by the Council. The Repton Clinic have kindly agreed to host it on the outside of their building. This is available to use for all, with no restrictions on access. Should you need to access the locked cabinet, call 999 and they will be able to assist you further. Thank you to The Repton Clinic for hosting this defibrillator.
Refurbishment of the Mitre Field playing equipment is being carried out over the summer and will be completed soon. The Parish Council is pleased to note that together with the pump track the children of our villages have been kept active.
A solar streetlight has been installed on the footpath to the rear of the Butchers on Burton Road. This was funded by the Parish Council with a safer neighbourhood grant from South Derbyshire District Council.
The next meeting of the Parish Council is scheduled for Monday 21st September 2026 at Repton Village Hall starting at 19:30. All are welcome to attend.

WHEN: 26th October 2026 to 3rd November 2026 08:00 to 18:00
WHERE: Unnamed Section Of C241 Between Ingleby Lane And Main Street, Milton between Brook Farm and Ingleby.
REASON: To facilitate Civils Excavation.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Unnamed Section Of C241 Between Ingleby Lane And Main Street, Ingleby Lane, Main Street,
Ticknall Road, Repton Road, Burton Road, Rose Lane, Stanton Hill, Unnamed Section Of A514 From Stanton Hill To
B587, Derby Road, Swarkestone Bridge, and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as
soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

Derbyshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Nicolle Ndiweni-Roberts, has launched an important survey on Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). This survey invites women and girls across Derby and Derbyshire to share their experiences, perceptions of safety, and views on gender-based violence. All responses are completely anonymous, and the insights gathered will play a key role in shaping future services and support.

Unclaimed Service Pensions Campaign

Every year some 2,000 deferred Armed Forces pensions go unclaimed and the sums involved can be significant. The latest MoD report from 2025 states that more than 15,000 pension benefits still remain unclaimed, down from 17,100 in 2023. This is progress but more needs to be done which is why the Forces Pension Society Charitable Fund is supporting the Unclaimed Pensions campaign. The aim is to raise awareness and signpost eligible Veterans to unite them with their pension benefits.
