The sweet potatoes have landed. Lovely healthy slips from the highlands of Scotland, potted on and destined for this year’s potato bed. Not botanically related to the humble spud, Solanum tuberosum, but the more subtropical Ipomoea batatas. It will take over from the first early potatoes and should enjoy its warm location in our walled garden. Part of how the walled garden crops unfold through the season.
