We are so lucky that the South Wiltshire Ramblers have helped clear the footpath running from Slab Lane to Primrose Lane/Morgan’s Vale Road. They have laid new aggregate on the floor and made the wooden barriers more accessible.
Many thanks for all the work they have volunteered to do to make our footpaths more accessible. Thank you South Wiltshire Ramblers!

Redlynch Parish Council are proud to assist Downton Link as they offer such an amazing service providing transportation to our less able community for things such as hospital appointments, dentist appointments or trips to the shops.

We have recently had this feedback -
Thanks to The Parish Council's generous donation we have now purchased a new laptop and Microsoft Office. I have delivered it to our Treasurer, who is very pleased with the laptop which is faster than his old laptop he was using.
The laptop will remain the property of Downton Link for future use.
Many thanks again for your generous support.
John Matthews,
Downton Link Chairman (retired).

Rural Health & Wellbeing Engagement – Partner Briefing Session

Voice It, Hear It (VIHI), coordinated by Community First on behalf of BSW and Wiltshire Council, is beginning new engagement with people living with long-term health conditions in rural areas across Wiltshire.

The engagement aims to better understand people’s day-to-day experiences of managing their long term health conditions in rural communities, including:
what helps people stay well and independent
barriers to accessing support and services
experiences of rural healthcare access
how transport, isolation, family, carers, and community connections shape everyday life and wellbeing
VIHI are particularly keen to reach residents whose experiences may not always be heard through more formal engagement routes and are inviting organisations, community groups, parish councils, volunteers, and professionals to help us connect with communities across Wiltshire.
VIHI are holding an online partner briefing session to share more about the work and explore how organisations and local networks may be able to support engagement and help residents have their voices heard.
Rural Health & Wellbeing – Partner Briefing and Engagement Session
Tuesday 26 May 2026
4:00pm – 5:00pm (Online)
Register here:
Book via Ticket Tailor
VIHI would particularly welcome support from organisations already working closely with rural residents and communities who may be able to help us reach people living with long-term health conditions and support them to share their experiences.

We are shortly purchasing a second water butt for the cemetery to ensure there is a water supply there. However, we’re looking to initially fill this , does anyone have a water bowser or a way or transporting water that we could borrow?

Many thanks
