We are extremely saddened by the passing of Cllr Mus Tary. We know the loss will be deeply felt across this council and our community.
The Leader and Mayor have paid tribute to Cllr Mus Tary; “As councillor for Hooley, Merstham and Netherne, he was an incredibly positive, friendly and approachable man. He was committed to his role as Executive Member for Housing & Support, championing schemes to help residents access affordable housing. Mus was interested in people and community, passionate about his football and a powerful advocate for the improvements to Merstham Recreation Ground."

Can we please give a shoutout and appreciation to people across our borough that volunteer their time to use the app - Olio.
Olio is a sharing app, local people are using to rescue food from all the local supermarkets and shops that is about to be thrown away, and they are then able to pass it onto neighbours for free - reducing waste.

We have been asked to promote is as there's recently been quite a lot of food 'unclaimed', so if you know someone that could do with food assistance and might benefit from the app, there's constantly free food, bread, vegetables etc being given away all day over the app, and all over Reigate, Redhill, and Banstead.

You install the app for free, create a profile, and 'request' items that local Olio volunteers rescue from the stores, then collect it from their house or drop off point. It's very simple. It is normally updated each evening so keep an eye out then for things popping up, and please do treat those volunteers with respect!

The fact the 5 men putting it up (again) on London Road, Redhill, are attaching it upside down (again) says more about them than it does about those that don't agree with the illegal vandalism of public furniture using our flag. It's distasteful and disrespectful.
