🏊‍♂️ WHAT DO SWIMMING LESSONS AT REDCAR LEISURE CENTRE LOOK LIKE? 🏊‍♀️

Our lessons are about so much more than learning to swim!

Following the Swim England framework, we teach all the core aquatic skills needed to become a confident and competent swimmer. Along the way, we make learning fun and exciting with skills that could one day help keep you safe in and around the water. 💦

Some of the skills we learn include:

⭐ Float like a star – learning the important “Float to Live” technique
🔄 Push, glide and rotate onto your back
🌊 Float on your front, roll onto your back and perform a mushroom float
🏊 Sit and push and glide
🤸 Handstands
🤿 Diving

Every lesson helps build confidence, develop water safety awareness and prepare swimmers for a fun-filled summer in and around the water! ☀️

Today our friends at Guisborough Swim and Fitness Centre played their second charity match to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

Our lifeguard Charlie has been a qualified referee since 2020 and swapped the poolside for the pitch today to help them out.
