As continues to pass over our coastline, RNLI Redcar volunteer crew took the opportunity to test their life saving skills during this Sunday mornings training session.

Our volunteers are always ready to respond to that call for help.

If you think you see someone in trouble in the water call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard. You might just help save a life.

***WEATHER WARNING***

Strong winds are expected along our coastline as Storm Boelo moves across our area.

If you are walking along cliffs or our beaches and sea walls please take care.

Stay away from crashing waves and if you think you see anyone in trouble in the water do not hesitate, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard. You might just help save a life.

It's been a busy morning's training here at RNLI Redcar. Both lifeboats were out with crews practising their skills, while other crew members were testing the integrity of new dry suits supplied by local Dormanstown based company Typhoon Leisure .

Of course the training went well and the dry suits kept their occupants perfectly dry.

Once the lifeboats returned to the boathouse the preparation starts with the lifeboats cleaned, fuelled and made ready for their next shout.

On October 7th 1802 Redcar took delivery of the ZETLAND lifeboat.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZETLAND.

If you want to pop down and see this historic lifeboat the museum is open at the following times.

Weekends only 10&11 & 17&18.
Then 7 days a week from 24th Oçt - 1 Nov.
Mon - Fri 11-4
Sat & Sun 11-5
Free entry and dog friendly
