Woodley residents are invited to join Woodley Town Council Mayor, Cllr Darren Smith, for his Charity Quiz Night on Friday 23 October, from 7:00pm–10:00pm at The Oakwood Centre! 🎉

Gather your friends, family, or colleagues and enjoy a fun-filled evening while raising money for the Mayor’s chosen charities: Woodley Festival of Music & Arts AND Woodley Volunteer Centre. 💙

🏡 Have your say on Woodley’s future – draft Council Strategy Consultation

We’ve received lots of comments so far about the cost of your Council Tax. We understand that Council Tax costs are high and you want to see value for your money.

But did you know that the Town Council’s share of your Council Tax, known as the precept or Town Council tax, is only a very small part of your overall Council Tax bill?

For a Band D property, the current Town Council tax is only £9.76 per month. This funding helps us provide and maintain local services and facilities, including parks and green spaces, public toilets, community facilities and events.

The remainder of your Council Tax goes towards services provided by Wokingham Borough Council, Thames Valley Police and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Here’s a quick reminder of what Woodley Town Council looks after:
🌳 Parks & green spaces – including Woodford Park
🏢 Community buildings – The Oakwood Centre, Coronation Hall and Chapel Hall
🏊 Woodford Park Leisure Centre
🎉 Events – including events in Woodley Town Centre

🏡 Have your say on Woodley’s future – draft Council Strategy Consultation

We’ve received lots of great suggestions so far about improving parks and green spaces – thank you. It’s great that you value these spaces as much as we do. All of your comments will all feed into our final Strategy.

Here’s a reminder about which parks and green spaces we look after:
🌳 Woodford Park
🌳 Malone Park
🌳 Wheble Park (we’re running a consultation until 21 August on a new play area design!)
🌳 Bulmershe Park (managed with Earley Town Council)
🌳 Rivermead Open Space
🌳 Loddon Mead Open Space

All other parks and open spaces in Woodley are managed by Wokingham Borough Council.
