Pioneer Medal Mounting offers full Medal mounting (to MOD specification), restoration and framing services as well as bespoke pouches to keep your medals clean and safe.

We are a preferred supplier for many Military and Cadet Units as well as a sub contractor to Military Tailors.

We also stock all MOD licensed replicas and also miniatures.

When we post, we always think - what will our customers or future customers want to see?

So, for a change… we’re going to post a set of medals 🫡

In all seriousness, a lovely miniature set (with pouch) for an urgent order to meet a tight deadline for a Regimental dinner.

We all know someone who loves a last minute panic! But we pride ourselves on urgent turnarounds..

The GSM 08 in this set is complete with ‘Global Operations’ clasp, which signifies operational service in various and sometimes discreet locations.

The new Wider Service Medal is really starting to flow through now.

The medal was approved and instituted for award to Members of the Armed Forces for service on Operations that full below the threshold for ‘War’.

A minimum of 180 Days of operational Service is required and many of these deployments (despite being below the threshold for war) have Service Personnel deployed on active Deterrence and Defence of the UK and its allies.

Just a reminder, we supply fully licensed Replicas for any replacement medals you need.

This set included an engraved replica GSM 08 with Eastern Africa clasp for an RAF Officer.

It was a priority order which we turned around and delivered on time, which is ironic. (Those that know… know)

We love all the medals we work on. But, we especially love restoring and mounting family medals that have so much history behind them.

These 3 x WW1 & WW2 sets were a privilege to restore and mount before returning to the customer as good as they day they were issued (80-100 years ago!).

Service regularly spans generations in some families, including this Op Shader set and GSM with NI bar.

These medals represent service between 1914-2025. Different times, different challenges - but still earned by those willing to serve their Nation and communities through unlimited liability. 🫡🇬🇧

Same day service? It’s not our usual offering, but we always do everything we can to meet urgent requirements for customers. This set was dropped off to us and picked up a few hours later!

Also, it included the privilege of mounting a QCVS (Queens commendation for valuable service) for Operation Telic (Iraq).

The QCVS is awarded for Meritorious service in an operational Environment.

We can now officially say we are closed for the Christmas / New Year Holidays.

We actually will not be returning until 12 January 2026, but will be contactable on Facebook and via email ([email protected]) if there is any urgent requirements.

We would like to thank EVERY SINGLE one of you, whether you have used our services, shared our posts or spread the Pioneer Message.

We love our business, we love what we do and we love providing a valuable service to those who require it.

One thing we would ask, that when you sit down with family and friends, you keep in your thoughts those who may not have that choice this year. Service is exactly that, while some of us sleep safe and some of us celebrate the way we should, others will be on stag... watching, waiting, humming a familiar song, drinking a cold coffee, missing their family more than some will ever know. All in the name of Service.

There's not much else to say, other than a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.
