This week, students in the Gardening/ECO Club celebrated a successful harvest of the onions and radishes they have carefully grown in the school garden. These have been given to our canteen where these will be used for our school community.Their commitment and enthusiasm have been inspiring, and we are extremely proud of the knowledge, skills, and appreciation for nature they have developed along the way.

Recently we hosted Rob from Medway Rugby Club who kindly delivered a session to our aspiring Rugby players on tackling.

All of this preparation will aid the players for when they start tackling in contact matches.

The latest Rainham sixth university visit saw a group of students visit the University of Hull, where they took part in some taster sessions and got to see a crime scene room, a mock court room and have a coach tour of the city.

It was great to see students engaging with academic discussions, receive input with their personal statements, and visit a university and city that they may not have considered.

Thank you to Ruth Walton and the team at Hull for an amazing day.

🌟 Student Success Spotlight 🌟

A huge congratulations to Lucia on her outstanding achievements in Hyrox YoungStars, a global fitness racing competition that combines endurance running and functional fitness.

Since competing in her first event in Amsterdam earlier this year, Lucia has shown incredible determination and progress, improving from 65th place to 23rd in London and most recently achieving an impressive 7th place overall in Berlin—making her the top British athlete in her age category! 🇬🇧🏆

Lucia's hard work, dedication and commitment to training have been truly inspiring. As she prepares to move up to a more challenging age group and compete in future events across Europe, we wish her every success.

Well done, Lucia—we are incredibly proud of you! 💪⭐

🍎💙 National Thank a Teacher Day is back on 17 June 2026! 💙🍎

Our teachers and support staff make a difference every single day, and now is the perfect opportunity to show your appreciation.

National Thank a Teacher Day celebrates the hard work of staff in schools and colleges across the UK. The initiative is open all year round and encourages everyone to recognise the incredible impact that the education community has in shaping the futures of young people.

We would love our parent community to join us by sending a free thank you card through thankateacher.co.uk to a teacher, teaching assistant, or member of our support staff who has made a positive difference to your child’s education.

Every card sent not only recognises the dedication and commitment of our staff but also helps our school qualify for exciting prizes and funding opportunities.

✨ Students can also get involved by entering the National Thank a Teacher Day writing and art competitions, with the chance to win vouchers while celebrating the staff who inspire them every day.

A simple thank you can go a long way. 💛

Visit thankateacher.co.uk today and help us celebrate the amazing people who support, inspire, and care for our children every day.

📅 National Thank a Teacher Day takes place on 17 June 2026 – let's show our appreciation for the wonderful staff who make a difference every day.
