🎉 A fantastic day of community fun! 🎉

Last weekend, Preston Cadet Unit were delighted to lend a helping hand at the Gregson Green Community Centre Family Fun Day. 🌳💙

It was brilliant to see the community come together, enjoy the activities and make some great memories. Our cadets had a fantastic time getting involved and supporting such a wonderful local event.

A great time was had by all! 🙌😊

🚁 A Fantastic Visit to NPAS Barton! 🚁

Last week saw another visit over to Greater Manchester where Preston Unit enjoyed an exciting visit to the NPAS Barton base.

During the visit, cadets learned about the vital role the police helicopter plays in supporting policing operations, as well as the specialist tactics, technology and equipment used by the crew. They also gained an insight into when and why the aircraft may be deployed across the region.
One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to step aboard the helicopter and take a closer look at the impressive onboard equipment used to help keep our communities safe.

A huge thank you to the team at NPAS Barton for their warm welcome, engaging demonstrations and for taking the time to answer the cadets' questions.

It was a memorable and informative experience, giving our cadets a valuable insight into one of the many specialist areas of policing. 🚔🚁

Well done to our amazing cadets from the Preston Unit! 👏

This morning, they proudly supported the Central Lancs 5 and 10 Mile Road Race, playing a vital role in ensuring the event ran smoothly. From marshalling and keeping all runners safe, to cheering on participants in the heat.

Although it was a brilliant morning and a fantastic effort from our cadets! 😊We only managed to grab one photo because everyone was far too busy helping out, keeping runners safe and making sure the event ran smoothly. Not ideal for social media, but a pretty good sign that they were fully focused on the job!

A huge thank you to all the cadets for their dedication and to every participant who took part. Great teamwork and community spirit all round! 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🎖️

🌺 Our South Ribble Police Cadets had a blooming great time at the Chorley Flower Show last week!

The Cadets were busy assisting with the organisation of the judges' scores, helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes. Their hard work, enthusiasm and teamwork were on full display throughout the day.

Well done to all the Cadets and Leaders who gave up their time to support this fantastic community event! 👏💙

🚔 South Ribble Police Cadets Visit Lancaster Police Museum 🚔

Our South Ribble Police Cadets recently enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Lancaster Police Museum, where they explored the rich history of policing in Lancashire.

The cadets learned about historic police equipment, uniforms and policing methods from years gone by, gaining a valuable insight into how the role of policing has developed over time.

A big thank you to the volunteers and staff at the museum for providing such an informative and engaging experience.

Preston Cadet Connor proudly supporting the High Sheriff of Lancashire at the Uniformed Services Family Fun Day over at Burnley this morning.

Today's Uniformed Services Family Fun Day in Burnley, held as part of Armed Forces Day, was a wonderful celebration of that support as well as an opportunity to thank those who serve and those who have served our country.

It was a pleasure to meet representatives from many of the charities supporting forces personnel, veterans and their families. Their dedication, compassion and practical support make a real difference to people's lives across Lancashire.

I also enjoyed taking a jeep ride around the showground with the Mayor and Mayoress of Burnley, Deputy Lieutenant Cosima Towneley and my Police Cadet Connor Heath which gave us a great view of a fantastic event that was clearly enjoyed by all ages.

A huge thank you to Andy Powell and the team at Healthier Heroes CIC for organising such a successful day and for all they do throughout the year to support the Armed Forces community.

And finally, a brief word of sympathy for anyone wearing ceremonial uniform in the Lancashire sunshine today. If this wasn't the hottest day of the year, it certainly felt like it!

Most importantly, thank you to all those who serve, those who have served and the families who support them. Lancashire is proud of you.

🚓 Our Preston Police Cadets had a fantastic time supporting the Battle of Bamber Bridge event this weekend 👏

From helping out at a community event filled with live music, history, and family activities, the cadets represented themselves and their community with pride and professionalism.

Events like these are a great opportunity for our cadets to get involved locally, build confidence, and make a real difference 💪

🌟 Proud to Support Civic Sunday🌟

Our Police Cadets came together from Preston, South Ribble, Blackburn with Darwen and Burnley units and were proud to take part in the Mayor’s Civic Sunday Parade and Service in Chorley, joining organisations from across the community to support this special civic occasion. Special thank you to Mayor, Councillor Debra Platt for her kind invitation.

Marching through the town and attending the service at St Laurence’s Church was a fantastic experience, highlighting the unity, pride, and commitment of our young people.

Well done to all our cadets who represented the unit with professionalism and respect throughout the day 👏

Thank you to Sophie and Chloe for a very insightful session on Wednesday evening. Cadets really enjoyed the interactive input.

👮‍♀️✨ Chloe and Sophie had a fantastic session with the Lancashire Police Cadets at Hutton Headquarters on Wednesday evening! ✨👮‍♂️

During the session, they explored:
🔹 Different types of substances
🔹 Drug classifications and categories
🔹 Harm reduction strategies
🔹 Education and awareness around substance use

It was a great opportunity to engage with young people, answer questions, and provide information to help them make informed choices. 💙
