👋 Hello and welcome to our new Lancashire Highways page!

We’re really pleased to be here and to have a new space where we can keep you updated on roadworks and the work our Lancashire County Council Highways teams are doing across the county. From fixing potholes to improving roads and pavements, we’ll be sharing what’s happening near you.

ℹ️ Wherever possible, we’ll let you know about planned works in advance, and we’ll share details of emergency works as soon as we can. Sometimes things happen unexpectedly, or we don’t have all the information straight away – but we’ll always do our best to keep you informed.

You can help us reach more people by liking and sharing our posts, it really does make a difference.

A link to our social media policy is pinned to the top of the page. We’ll always try to answer what we can, and we ask that conversations stay friendly, constructive and respectful.

💙 At the end of the day, we all want the same thing - better, safer roads for everyone in Lancashire.

Former Councillor Stephen Whittam has passed the ongoing issue with the gate to the Parish Council. He had been dealing directly with McDermott Homes, and we have now received an update on the Moss Nook Drive gate issue. The gate was installed incorrectly by McDermott Homes and should not be there - it will be removed in the next couple of months, when the management company for the site take over. The tree branches/brash have been placed there by Mc Dermott Homes to try to prevent people from using the gate. Any issues please contact McDeremott Homes, as the Parish Council has no control over the private land. We are sharing this for information with residents.

We have recently had a number of compleints about litter in the village ,whether this is dog waste, general litter or fly tipping.
Please if you are a dog walker please pick up after your pet and dispose of your bags in one of the many bins round the village, or at home. We know some people leave bags by the side of the path to pick up on their return. Pleas remember to pick up.
General litter, please again use the bins or take home to be put in the correct recycling. Please DO NOT EMPTY YOUR CARS ON CAR PARKS.
Fly tipping, we hope this is not carried out by residents of Grimsargh, but if you encounter fly tipping please report to Preston City Council. They do respond. The following link may help
