๐ ๐ผ ๐๐๐๐- ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฟ๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐
At ๐๐๐ฎ๐จ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ก๐๐๐๐ฉ, we believe in making a differenceโOver the past year, members of the ROS team have attended three CPR and Defib training sessions, all generously provided FREE of charge by Preston Community First Responders & we were all inspired. Learning that these incredible responders are ๐ซ๐ค๐ก๐ช๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐ฎ ๐๐๐จ๐๐จ, we wanted to do our bit to support them.
We initially raised ยฃ280 in 2024 with a 10K walk, but we knew we could do more. So, we decided to donate funds to provide a ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ก๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ค๐ง for the local community.
With guidance from Ken at Preston Community First Responders and Roya from North West Ambulance Charity , Joey Holderness from the ROS team arranged for a brand-new Defibrillator to be installed at Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery
There are already Defibs at New Longton All Saints Primary School, New Longton Methodist Church & New Longton Sports and Social Club, but this NEW location ensures extra coverage, The Farmers Arms is a central and accessible spot, and with Chris and Bob, the founders of ๐๐๐ฎ๐จ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ก๐๐๐๐ฉ, living locally, it felt like the perfect place to give something back to the community they love. ๐
๐ฉบ Ken from Preston Community First Responders shared that the aim is to have a Defibrillator every 500 yardsโso weโre proud to help bring this vision closer to reality!
Today, Chris, Bob, Joey, and Louise from ๐๐๐ฎ๐จ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ก๐๐๐๐ฉ joined Ken & Martin from Preston First Community Responders, Roya from NWAS Charity and Emily from The Farmers Arms to officially present the Defib, which is now ๐๐ช๐ก๐ก๐ฎ ๐ค๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ก!
