⚽ As excitement builds for the FIFA World Cup, Commissioner Clive Grunshaw is working with Lancashire Police to help everyone enjoy the tournament safely.

Football should never be an excuse for crime, whether that’s violence, drink or drug driving, or domestic abuse. Officers will be out in force across Lancashire to prevent issues, respond quickly, and keep communities safe.

🚨 Sadly, research shows domestic abuse incidents rise during major tournaments, increasing by 38% when England lose and 24% when they win.

No matter the result, there is . Let’s show domestic abuse the red card. 🟥

ℹ️ Lancashire ASB Action Plan launched ℹ️

A new action plan has been unveiled by Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw and Lancashire Police, setting out a clear and coordinated approach to tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) across the county.

The Lancashire ASB Action Plan supports policing’s commitment to the Neighbourhood Policing Guarantee, which underpins the Government’s Safer Streets mission.

Launched at a partnership event in Blackburn, the plan brings together the collective capabilities of Lancashire Constabulary, local authorities, housing providers, the voluntary sector, and community organisations.

Fantastic results 👏👏👏

Supported by funding from Commissioner Grunshaw, this initiative builds on the work of Op Vulture, which tackles retail crime across Lancashire, and is a great example of what effective partnership working can achieve to prevent, deter and tackle crime.

🛒 Shoplifting in St Annes town centre has fallen by 26% in just three months - and in the very first month alone, incidents dropped by an extraordinary 53%.

That's the early impact of the ShopSafe Radio System, which connects local retailers, Fylde Council officers and Lancashire Police in a real-time network - so when something happens, everyone knows instantly.

The scheme is completely free for participating businesses during the 12-month trial, thanks to funding from the Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner and Lanpac Ltd. A brilliant result for St Annes 🎉
