Full speed ahead in Guernsey! 🏁

One of the highlights of our Guernsey trip was getting behind the wheel for some go karting! There was plenty of excitement, a little healthy competition and lots of smiles as our Scouts and Explorers took to the track.

An unforgettable experience and another brilliant memory from an amazing trip! 🇬🇬

12 days. 67 young people. Countless memories.

From 28 July to 8 August, 67 Scouts and Explorer Scouts, supported by 19 volunteer leaders, embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Guernsey.

Over 12 action-packed days, they challenged themselves through climbing, paddle boarding, horse riding, backwoods cooking, swimming, beach days, go-karting and much more.

As well as having fun, our young people developed confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence while making new friends and creating memories to last a lifetime. That's what Scouts is all about: helping young people gain Skills for Life through adventure and new experiences.

A huge thank you to our 19 volunteer leaders, whose dedication made this incredible trip possible.

We are ready and waiting at Manchester Airport for the arrival of Air Canada 908 🇨🇦🇬🇧

Red Rose Canada will soon be in their way home to Manchester ✈️ We'll be by the runway to welcome them back when they land 🛬

Tonight after a whirlwind 10 day adventure our contingent start their journey home 🏠

They'll once again be flying onboard a Boeing 787-900, powered by two GEnx-1B 🛬 The aircraft has an overall length of 62.8m with a wing span of 60.1m, allowing it to carry a whopping 15 tons of cargo, while cruising at 39000 ft 💭

With a flight time of around 6 hours and 30 minutes, they should land back into Manchester at around 6:30 AM. We'll be down by the runway waiting for them 🛬

Happy 18th birthday to Josh who had the honour of breaking the flag on the Red Rose Canada trip before they headed out to Niagara for the day!

And they've landed! They've made it to Toronto where there loca time is currently 12:10 PM, that's all from me for now! Back over to the contingent team for the next 10 days until their return flight to Manchester, where we will we be at the airport once again to watch the landing
