Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant Needed at Secondary PRU in Lancaster! 🚨
⭐️Full‑Time | Long‑Term | ASAP Start⭐️
We are currently recruiting a full‑time Teaching Assistant to work on a long‑term basis at a secondary PRU in Lancaster, starting as soon as possible.
This alternative provision supports young people aged 11–16 who are struggling to engage with mainstream education. The school offers a safe, caring and supportive environment, helping pupils with behavioural needs, SEMH and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) to re‑engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
The role will involve:
Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
Providing calm, consistent and empathetic support throughout the school day
Working closely with staff to create a structured and supportive learning environment
We are looking for someone who has:
Experience supporting children with behavioural needs
Experience working with SEMH and/or trauma
A calm, empathetic approach with strong behaviour management skills
A reliable, resilient and hard‑working attitude
Full‑time availability and readiness to start ASAP
An Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List, or willingness to obtain one immediately
Willingness to complete Reed’s compliance process promptly (if not already completed)
