Sunshine, fresh air and busy little hands makes May the perfect time to learn outdoors!
Why not try a simple "nature treasure hunt" today and encourage the children to find things like:
"something colourful"
"Something crunchy"
"Something that moves"

This playful activity supports observational skills, language development and curiosity.
Let us know what treasures your children discovered in the comments below.

Have you overhead a conversation between children this week that made you smile?

Creating a language rich environment begins with us - introducing new vocabulary, sharing stories and asking thoughtful questions. When we do this consistently, we begin to see it reflected in our children: active learners who express curiosity, explore new ideas and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

Fantastic Friday!

A huge well‑done to the team at Edisford Day Nursery, Clitheroe who have recently implemented Sensory Circuits into their daily routine and are already seeing fantastic engagement from the children! 👏💛
We’re especially impressed with how the nursery have used Children’s Inclusion Funding to purchase tailored, high‑quality sensory resources designed specifically to meet the needs of individual children. This is brilliant inclusive practice in action! 🙌✨
Creating a supportive, regulation‑focused start to the day makes such a difference and your team have embraced it beautifully. Well done for your commitment to meeting every child’s sensory and emotional needs 🌈

Spring has finally sprung and we couldn’t be more excited. But as the days get longer and the weather starts to improve, new hazards for children emerge.

That’s why we’ve created a brand-new information page explaining the risks and the simple things we can all do to keep children safe from serious accidents this season.
