Mayor, Cllr Adrian West was invited to attend Prestatyn Football Clubs first home game of the season on Friday night and was joined by Deputy Mayor, Cllr Carol Holliday and Officers.

The evening resulted in a wonderful 4-1 win to Prestatyn against Bangor. A huge well done to the team, and Captain James Stead.

Wishing Luke Wiltshire, player for Prestatyn Town a speedy recovery, as he suffered a double leg break during the fixture.

We are pleased to announce the newly elected Mayor of Prestatyn and Meliden Town Council for 2024-2025 Cllr Adrian West and Deputy Mayor Cllr Carol Holliday.

Mayor Cllr Adrian West Said;
"It is in my view a great honour to be elected mayor especially in my case for a second time almost thirty years after the first time in 1995.I remember that time because I had some French guests staying with me as part of the school French Exchange, so we had a rather international audience. It also meant that when we went to France, to the town of Loos - en - Gohelle we were met by the mayor in the Town Hall. He had been mayor for some 15 or so years I think. I hope in the coming 12 months to follow Cllr. Murray in representing the town well and increasing the regard with which it is held throughout North Wales. I hope that I will be able to follow him with energy and enthusiasm and display the vigour which Cllr. Murray has brought to all his official dealings. I hope that the coming year will see the communities of Prestatyn and Meliden flourish and project a welcoming environment for our many visitors and that the many events that we put on will show a vibrant community for all to see. Once again I thank you for granting me the honour to be your mayor and trust that I will fulfil the task in an efficient manner."

Mayor Cllr Bob Murray and Consort Cllr Carol Holliday at Prestatyn Town Councils Volunteer Fair. Mayor and Consort welcomed the wonderful local organisations and charities in attendance.

The volunteer fair is on until 4pm today, located at Prestatyn Town Council.
