🚒 STATION UPDATE 🚒
This morning, our crew completed a familiarisation session with the new Incident Support Unit (ISU).

When incidents are prolonged, taking care of our firefighters is crucial. The ISU ensures our team stays hydrated, nourished, and well-rested on scene, fully equipped with hot & cold drinks, snacks, and toilet facilities.

Great work by the team for getting hands-on with the new vehicle so we’re ready to deploy whenever and wherever it’s needed! 💪☕️

Another great training night for the team! 🚨👨‍🚒
Tonight’s drill focused on Breathing Apparatus (BA) procedures and casualty rescue at our drill tower.

The initial fire attack crew made entry, located, and swiftly extinguished a simulated fire on the ground floor. With the fire suppressed, the crew continued their search through difficult conditions, successfully locating and rescuing the casualty.

Regular, realistic drills like this ensure our firefighters keep their skills sharp and remain ready to respond effectively whenever our community needs us.

Great work by all involved! 💪🔥

Your community. Your voice. Your future.

The risks facing our communities can change over time, and they aren’t the same everywhere across Lancashire.

That’s why we want to hear from the people who live and work here.

We’re now in the second phase of our Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) consultation, asking for your views on the risks we’ve identified and how Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service plans to prevent and respond to them.

Your feedback will help shape our final plan and how we deliver our services over the next five years.

It takes around 5 minutes to complete and closes at 5pm on Friday 9 October 2026.

🚨 Joint Station Training Exercise 🚨
Last night, our crew joined forces with our colleagues from Fleetwood Fire Station for an intensive Breathing Apparatus (BA) cellar casualty rescue simulation! 🥽🔥
Working in dark, tight, and high-heat subterranean environments presents unique operational challenges. Joint exercises like this allow us to hone our search-and-rescue techniques, test communication systems, and ensure seamless teamwork between stations under realistic pressure.
Training for complex scenarios ensures we stay sharp, ready, and fully prepared to protect our local communities when real emergencies strike. 🚒💨

How can we help keep Lancashire safer over the next five years?

Our Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) sets out our plans for the future. Earlier this year, we asked our communities, partners and employees what matters most to them, and we've used their feedback to develop our draft plan.

As we move into the second phase of our consultation, we'd like to hear your views on the community risks we've identified and how we intend to prevent and respond to them.

Take part in the survey here: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/LFRScrmp2

(The survey takes around 5 minutes to complete and closes at 5pm on Friday 9 October 2026.)
