All our library users will be well aware of the scaffolding in the main adult library, pending roof repairs. On Monday, 14 September, 6.30 to 8 p.m., there will be drop-in session about the upcoming essential works at
Hornsey Library and the plans for these important works, affecting some areas of the library, to address the RAAC within the roof, safeguarding the building and supporting its continued use as a valued community resource. Come along to this information event to learn more about:
- What works are being carried out and why
- The projected timeline dates
- Which areas of the library will be affected
- How library services will continue during the works
There will be opportunities to ask questions and speak with the
Library and Project team

Opening next week: In Bloom will take place at The Original Gallery, Hornsey Library, from 23 to 27 June 2026, with an opening party on Wednesday 24 June 6-8pm, kindly sponsored by Hakutsuru Sake.
The artist says "This is a personal exhibition about motherhood, grief, resilience, Japanese roots, and rebuilding after difficult years. The works include painting, textiles, photography, embroidery, and mixed media."

Many thanks to everyone who came to our Hornsey Library Celebration Day yesterday as well as all the Friends group volunteers, library staff, speakers and session leaders, who together made it such a success. With 25+ sessions we had a super-busy day and a great turn-out - one visitor commented that it was better than the Hay Festival, and much easier to get to!
