🐾 Following a Public Space Protection Order consultation, Wyre Council has approved tougher penalties for dog fouling, with fixed penalty notices increasing from £100 to £250.

The council has also approved amendments to dog control measures at Mount Gardens, Fleetwood, requiring dogs to be kept on leads at all times.

The updated Public Space Protection Orders support responsible dog ownership and send a clear message that dog fouling will not be tolerated, helping to keep Wyre's parks, streets and open spaces clean, safe and welcoming for residents and visitors.

Car park partial closure notice ⚠️

Derby Road West car park in Cleveleys will be undergoing drainage repair works from Monday 7 September. One section of the car park will be inaccessible for the duration of the works.

This partial closure mainly affects parking for Blue Badge holders and electric charging points. Some Blue Badge parking will still be available, however alternative parking for both these services can be found at Derby Road East (directly opposite) or at Rough Lea Road.

The works are scheduled to be completed by 12 September.

The latest £108,000 investment has transformed the playground with exciting new equipment, including a spectacular 7.2m space net climber, timber trail features, enhanced swings and improved accessible surfacing.
