The Group 2 has been set up to give time for families with children with special needs to come together and meet. It is a non-profit organisation, that is designed to allow families with special needs children to come together and meet to chat, share worries, offer advice and receive it or just catch up. The ethos of the Group 2 is to allow families to spend some time with each other who are in si
milar situations as well as allow time for children with special needs and their siblings to take part in activities. Their will be activities that will allow the siblings to come together and socialise as well as let off some 'steam' in a safe and fun environment. We understand that a lot of the time siblings to children with special needs end up becoming young carers so we think this is a perfect opportunity for them to have some time to be them selves and not feel they have to worry about their siblings. We also understand that it can be difficult having a child with a special need and this is a perfect opportunity to come together and share some time with families who understand the trials and tribulations you go through daily. We're not here to judge; we're here to support. We like to think of us being a community within a community! The Group 2 will run every second Saturday of the month at Wayside Jubilee Centre between 3pm and 6pm. Entrance will cost £2 per family to help cover the cost of Tea, Coffee, cold drinks and biscuits. The children who attend the Group 2 will need to be supervised by an adult at all times but we promise to have LOTS of activities to keep you entertained. We hope to see you very soon! Any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
