Re: Sports Day – Thursday 16th July 2026

We are holding our Sports Day on the athletics track at HMS Temeraire, Portsmouth. Your son/daughter shall be representing his/her tutor group at St Edmund’s Catholic Schools Sports Day.

Sports Day will take place on Thursday 16th July 2026 between 8:30am and 3.00 pm. Students should arrive into school promptly to register and then walk directly to HMS Temeraire. Students shall be released to go home directly from HMS Temeraire at approximately 2:30pm.

Students must wear correct school Physical Education kit throughout the day. Students will not be permitted to wear any jewellery on the day.

All students should bring and apply sun lotion for the day. Students are advised to bring a hat, drinks and a packed lunch. All pupils on free school meals will be provided with a packed lunch (regardless if the event continues or not). There is NO opportunity to buy food so pupils do not need to bring any money.

Students from St Edmund’s have developed an enviable reputation for good behaviour and fair play whilst participating in extra curricular activities. Students will be expected to contribute to the atmosphere of the event by considering their own behaviour and the safety of others at all times.

This activity is covered by the ‘Annual Parental Consent’ form. If you are aware of any changes in your contact details or your son/daughter’s medical record since filling in the form, please let us know.

In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made on Friday as to whether or not the event will go ahead. If the event is postponed, students will be expected to attend a regular school day and parents will be text via the Edulink One App.

Kind regards,
Head of PE
