Headway - Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Headway Portsmouth and South East Hampshire was established in 1986, we provide support to people with brain injuries and their families.

Summary of our services:

■ Provide support and information

■ We provide information on all aspects of brain injury free of charge to families. A wide range of information is available for those working with head injury for a nominal charge

■ Contact is maintained with many of the service users, either through group meetings, telephone, email or letter

■ A telephone help-line is available on 023 9266 4972. When the office is not staffed an answerphone is available

■ Weekly Support sessions at Portsmouth, Gosport, and Petersfield

■ Weekly support sessions at Portsmouth for family members

■ Activities Programme for Service Users

■ Headway works with the statutory bodies and other voluntary organisations in lobbying for improved services locally for people with Brain injury

■ We strive to raise awareness of the effects of brain injury on the person and the family, and help people re-integrate in the community

What an incredible morning. Wearing my Headway - Portsmouth and South East Hampshire colours for the AJ Bell Great South Run Press morning ahead of Sunday's run. It's always fantastic to meet inspiring locals who are putting themselves out there for their chosen charity. I got to meet runners taking part for The Elizabeth Foundation, The Portsmouth Down Syndrome Association and also the brilliant Chris 'Thommo' Thompson, former long distance runner/Olympian/GSR Winner & all round good guy.

Glow sticks, fairy lights, headlamps. 🌟 Glow your way and bring awareness to a great cause! 🤩

Glow rides are a colourful celebration of cycling 🚲 that shine a light on the need for safer streets and better cycle routes, especially for women riding after dark.

Together, we can make cycling feel safe and accessible for everyone. 🤗

Active Travel England will be on-site at Mountbatten Leisure Centre from 4:00pm on Thursday 22 October offering free bike security marking and registration before the event begins

This year, Karen Barnett - Vocalist is taking on the AJ Bell Great South Run to raise both funds and awareness for Headway Portsmouth & South East Hampshire.

Many of you will know Karen from leading our wonderful singing and choir group, bringing joy, confidence, and connection to so many of our members. We are incredibly grateful that she has chosen to support our charity through this fantastic challenge.
