Headway - Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Headway Portsmouth and South East Hampshire was established in 1986, we provide support to people with brain injuries and their families.

Summary of our services:

■ Provide support and information

■ We provide information on all aspects of brain injury free of charge to families. A wide range of information is available for those working with head injury for a nominal charge

■ Contact is maintained with many of the service users, either through group meetings, telephone, email or letter

■ A telephone help-line is available o

n 023 9266 4972. When the office is not staffed an answerphone is available

■ Weekly Support sessions at Portsmouth, Gosport, and Petersfield

■ Weekly support sessions at Portsmouth for family members

■ Activities Programme for Service Users

■ Headway works with the statutory bodies and other voluntary organisations in lobbying for improved services locally for people with Brain injury

■ We strive to raise awareness of the effects of brain injury on the person and the family, and help people re-integrate in the community

We have been informed that part of Wych Lane will be closed this week as they install speed ramps.

The Tuesday session at BRWCA will be going ahead as normal, with vehicle access via Brewers Lane. It's located just before or after the library, depending on which direction you're coming from. The access road is purpose-built and leads directly to the car park.
