The Splashup A Watersports Event with a big splash Porthcawl's Splashup is one of the most exciting watersports and musical weekend in South Wales!

Dates for 2014 have yet to be confirmed. The dramatic lit-up Esplanade sets the scene for the night surf, projection show and live music

At the event you can see surf competitions and try watersports - such as surfing and power kiting at Rest Bay and stand up paddle-boarding on Coney Beach - all for free. All day open-top double-decker buses give unique coastline views as they shuttle between th

The event is co-ordinated by the Regeneration Projects Team, Tourism, Arts Developments and Highways Teams of BCBC in conjunction with the Welsh Surfing Federation, Welsh Coast Surf Club and the Rest Bay Lifeguards. Splashup has been funded by BCBC, European Regional Development Fund Convergence Programme, Arts Coouncil of Wales, Visit Wales and Swansea Bay Watersports Centre of Excellence project.
