Half term is next week and there's so much going on in our libraries.

☔ Our drop-in activities are perfect for dodging the rain showers and there are some great scheduled events throughout the week, too.

👻 All activities are free so join us for Halloween and Gruffalo-themed fun this half term.

On Monday 12 October Branksome & Rossmore Community Fridges will be opening a new branch of their community fridge at W&S Recycling in Wallidown, and renaming themselves as ‘Community Food Share’.
From the usual time of 11am you'll be able to queue for the food currently offered at Rossmore Library.
The fridge at Rossmore Library will remain open at the normal times but on a smaller scale.

Follow their Facebook now now so you don’t lose track of them once they update the name.
There will be a couple of minor changes at the new site regarding the queuing system, but stay patient whilst waiting as you'll be able to leave the queue and have a cuppa in the cafe, or a browse in the shop without losing your place!
As usual, bring your bags and follow the signs for the community shop.
See you there 😊

Have you got your FREE Read to the Beat magazine yet?

No?

It couldn't be easier. Just read your first book in this year's Summer Reading Challenge and it's all yours.

It's proving very popular. We keep finding our library assistants sneaking off to read it!

🥈There's still time to earn your certificate and medal, too.
The challenge will end on Saturday September 19th so pop into any BCP library and tell us what you've been reading.

You know how much we love a summer challenge, but to celebrate the National Year of Reading we've got an extra special summer challenge for you this year...

🚪24 local schools have created a beautiful wooden Story Door, based on their favourite book, and there's one hiding in each of our libraries... 👀

So while you're out and about this summer, why not explore a few libraries you might not normally visit, and see how many doors you can find!

You can pick up a trail sheet from any library, or download one from our website:https://www.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/Assets/Libraries/Story-Doors-Trail-Map.pdf

Let us know how many you've found so far! 🤩
