Illogan Parish Council The Parish of Illogan is situated between the towns of Camborne and Redruth with Pool to the South and the dramatic Cornish Coast to the North.

Illogan is a vibrant community with a busy and progressive Parish Council. The Council and community work tirelessly together to maintain and improve the area and all aspects of Parish life. Illogan Parish Council is expanding and is working towards the provision of an exciting, new, purpose-built Council Office and community room. The Office and community will be situated in the heart of the comm

unity with easy access for members of the public. It is anticipated that the Office and community room will be opening in the autumn of 2022. Illogan Parish Council looks after an area with a population density similar to the towns of Camborne and Redruth. The Council owns, manages, and maintains Illogan Park and maintains a number of areas on lease or licence including Manningham Wood, The Platt and Parsonage Well and the path leading from Manningham Wood to the St Illogan Churchyard. The Parish has three wards - Illogan, Tehidy and Park Bottom - and includes both urban and more rural districts. The Parish encompasses Tehidy Country Park and an area of the north Cornish coast that is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is part of the Cornwall Council Illogan & Portreath and Pool & Tehidy electoral areas. There are approximately 4300 electors in the Parish. Illogan is a Celtic personal name found in both Cornwall and Brittany and was the name of a Celtic Saint who is thought to have helped bring Christianity to the area and who gave his name to our village church.

The skier in Illogan Park has now been repaired and is back up and running again 💪😊

A big thank you for your patience while the work was carried out 💚 We know lots of people enjoy using it, so it’s lovely to have it available again for everyone to enjoy 🌳✨

Why not head down, get moving, and make the most of the park this week? ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
