The hospitality sector has come together to launch – a united campaign and petition calling for hospitality VAT to be reduced from 20% to 10%.

Spearheaded by chef and publican Tom Kerridge, we’re working alongside trade bodies across the sector, such as and , hospitality communities like , and you, businesses across hospitality, to say 10% VAT is fair for hospitality.

Our sector pays too much tax, and VAT is the single biggest lever the Government can pull to support venues, our customers, our high streets and our local communities.

This campaign is for everyone: businesses, customers, waiting staff, chefs, kitchen porters, bar staff, hotel teams, farmers, brewers, suppliers and producers.

🍽️ The Princes Restaurant

Probably the most famous Ponty establishment, Princes was established in 1948 and are known for their incredible range of delicious cakes, hearty meals and fresh bread (all of which sell out very fast) their meal deals are a hit with local workers and inside the restaurant you can enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with lots of original art deco features including their wonderful 'Tea Rooms' sign, there's additional seating upstairs where you can enjoy views of Taff and Market Street.

🍟Carini's Fish & Chips

Carini's is one of Pontypridd's longest serving Fish and Chip shops on Market Street, recently taken over by passionate owners Lui & Beata, the restaurant offers breakfasts as well as traditional fish and chips, pies, pasties and all your favourites you expect at a local chippy, its definitely popular with the locals!

🥗Cwtch Cafe in YMa

Cwtch Cafe is establishing itself as one of Ponty's most popular eateries with their delicious homemade salads, breakfasts, refreshing drinks and recently they have introduced Ukrainian savoury and sweet dishes including Varenyky and Pelmeni and waffle cake!
