As children return to school, we are asking everyone to play their part in keeping the roads around our schools safe.
Parking too close to school entrances, on zig-zag lines, pavements or near crossings can reduce visibility and make it difficult for children to safely see and be seen when crossing the road.
Please remember:
đ Park responsibly and legally â avoid stopping where restrictions are in place.
đ Keep crossings and junctions clear â give children the best possible view of approaching traffic.
đ¸ Slow down and stay alert â children can be unpredictable, particularly at busy drop-off and pick-up times.
đś Encourage safe crossing â remind children to use designated crossings.
đ¤ Think safeguarding â a few extra minutes walking can make a significant difference to everyoneâs safety.
Our priority is the safety of children, families and the wider school community. By parking considerately and driving responsibly, we can all help make the journey to and from school safer.
Please park with care. Protect our children. Keep our school communities safe.
Kind Regards
Plymouth North Neighbourhood Team
