⚠️ Road Safety Reminder ⚠️

Drivers are reminded that there is a NO RIGHT TURN restriction from Miller Way into Dover Road (towards the One Stop shop).

This restriction is clearly signed and is in place to improve safety for residents, pedestrians and other road users. Despite this, vehicles are still being observed making the prohibited turn.

Failure to comply with a traffic sign is an offence and may result in enforcement action, including a Fixed Penalty Notice and penalty points.

Please ensure you observe all road signs and use the appropriate route.

Thank you for your cooperation

HOLIDAY WATER SAFETY

A message from your local Neighbourhood Policing Team 🌊

As the holiday season approaches, many of us head to the coast, rivers, and open water to enjoy the sunshine.
Please take a moment to think about your safety and the safety of others when near water.

Water conditions can change quickly, even on calm days.

🌊 Always supervise children closely near water
🧊 Be aware that water can be much colder than it looks – cold water shock is a real risk
🚫 Avoid swimming in unfamiliar areas or where there are strong currents
🦺 If you’re taking part in water activities, consider wearing a life jacket or buoyancy aid
📱 Let someone know where you’re going and when you expect to return

If you get into difficulty in the water, try to remain calm, float on your back, and signal for help.

In an emergency by the coast, call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

Enjoy the warmer weather, but please do so safely.
