The Hunting Grounds is a Live Action Role Play game in Plymouth. This game is a safe reenactment of the well known film "The Purge"

Actors are students from Plymouth university and Plymouth College's and are all ID checked for safety. The Game:
Players will start in a secret location which is usually announced the week before. In the first section of the game, players will have to make their way

to the end location without getting caught by the purgers. Players will not know where these purgers are based and therefore will have to be careful not to run into them. In second part of the game, players will have the freedom of hiding in a large area with wide boundaries. The aim is to keep moving and find new hiding places without getting caught by the purgers. What happends if players are caught? If players are caught they must stop and allow the actor to mark their t-shirt with a tally. By the end of the game, those who manage to finish with no tally on their t-shirts will be named survivors! Do you dare to try and survive the purge on the streets ? See you on the hunting grounds!

Missing the idea of this happening and it's sad that if this does become an event again one day, it will be a ticket only entry and will be supervised by security. Watch this space though....

Dealing with bad press for the first time in my life. Articles that are missing out the main ingredient....THAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A GAME! Such a shame and I'm so annoyed! The article speaks as though everyone met with the intentions to start a purge! And stating that people in masks were waving weapons around but nothing written about how those people were THE ACTORS! Lol The people who ruined it probably did want to start s real purge but the majority knew it was a game. Such a shame!

What an eventful night! Well firstly I want to thank all of those who came to the event, followed instructions and wore the correct clothing. I want to apologise deeply to you that it was ruined for you by people who take it to seriously. Plymouth has nothing like this, and instead of respecting that and having fun, people just trample all over it. I want to apologise to all of the parents that trusted me and bought their kids to the event. I even had dads and sons playing together. It was supposed to be fun! I had no choice and had to cancel. Police were having threats of real guns and real knives, 6 groups of 20 teenagers would turn up in masks, not wearing the correct stuff. I would of never been able to carry on. This is not the last you will hear from us and we will be doing it again. I am sorry to say that because things like that happen, thats what causes it to become a ticketed, first come first serve event. There is nothing free in plymouth anymore, and now I know why. Those who came and followed the rules, I am deeply sorry and I hope everyone returned home safely. Watch this space. We will be back!
